Love watching my littlest clients grow up. Photographing Juliana for her second birthday was a blast, and I could not even wrap my head around how much she had grown since I last saw her. She is a DREAM to photograph. I mean look at that little face! Come on! I could also talk ALL day about how much her mom NAILS their outfits. I should hire her to style all of my sessions! :)
Juliana is also a girl after my own heart, as she was all about listening and dancing to "Shutup and Dance" during our session. (If you haven't heard the song somehow, I dare you not to dance around your kitchen to it once you hear it! I'm still not tired of it!) She is such a happy girl and makes two look like all sorts of fun. We lucked out with some awesome weather and some great light for our session at one of my all time favorite parks. I loved all of the images that came out of our session. I especially love making sure to capture those small details for my clients, like Juliana's sweet little curls. You might remember them from her first birthday session. :) They are one of those things you never want to forget but often never think to photograph. (That's why you hire me. ;) :))
My favorite images from this session though happened right at the very end. One of the sweetest moments of mommy-hood (which I can now say from experience) is your baby running to you with open arms - smile on their face - joy in their little hearts. Nothing but love running straight at you. It is all about feeling their sweet arms wrap around you and the weight of them leaning in to you with all of the joy/faith/trust only a child can know. It makes my heart happy just to witness it, but there are really not enough words to describe what it feels like to experience it. I know. I'm a cheese-ball, but, to me, these moments are what it is all about. It meant the world to me to capture this real life mommy moment of Jen and her not-so-little-anymore baby girl. I hope when she looks back on these when Juliana is older, it will bring all of those feelings flooding back and help her remember exactly what it felt like to hug her sweet girl on her second birthday.
These are for all of the mommies that wish we could freeze time.
Photography is the only way I've found so far. :)
P.S. Just for the record, I feel like this girl is going to make one awesome big sister someday... ;)
Comments always welcomed and appreciated! :)
