Welcome to the world, Drey James!
Another favorite lifestyle session! :) This sweet boy's mother and I grew up together, as our brothers were best friends/football buddies/troublemakers. We had the distinct pleasure of spending A LOT of time together on the sidelines and at a WIDE variety of sports-related events/parties/nonsense. ;) We also spent quite a few nights home alone where we wound up scaring the crap out of ourselves with every noise and creak we heard once it was dark out. ha! (Wish I could say I've grown out of this...but at least I no longer make the neighbors come over to check the noises out! haha Thanks watchdog!) All I have to say is thank goodness for her, as I can only imagine how bored I would have been without her to keep me company! :) I can hardly believe that we both had babies around the same time, and they will eventually be in the same grade/high school when they grow up! (P.S. How did we get so old and so lucky??)
It was my honor to get to take newborn pictures for her and her handsome husband in their beautiful new home. When I pulled up to it I thought I may have driven right into Pleasantville! So picture perfect!! Alyssa and I also happen to be decorating soul mates, as I walked in to her house and wanted to immediately move in. We are both big fans of Fixer Upper, and she has done an amazing job at bringing that style to life in every room of her new home! Just wait until you see Drey's adorable nursery! Drey couldn't wait to meet his parents and surprised everyone by showing up a month early! I could hardly believe how tiny/sleepy he still was for our session! Felt like forever since my little guy has been that tiny. Our moms are still great friends, and they kept Sawyer entertained while we captured these incredible memories. :) Such wonderful/helpful/priceless/proud grandmas!! :)
Love, love, love-d getting to meet this little boy! :)
Now it's your turn! Isn't he handsome?
Gorgeous new mommy!! I mean for real. You can't tell me she just had a baby!
Oh...and how cool are these blocks that say Drey's name? Alyssa and I are both Pinterest lovers (who isn't...besides my husband...?), and she came up with this great idea to use these letter blocks as the centerpiece at her shower and then use them in the nursery! I am also very proud to say that they were made by one awesome guy...MY DAD!! :) Taking orders!! ;) He's pretty much able to make anything you can dream of! :) Wait until you see what he made for my little guy's first birthday party! haha Proud papa! Love seeing how little this guy is in his dad's arms! You can just feel the love!!!
How sweet is this kid?!?! I mean really! Proud to say too that my mom also made this great name hat for Drey!! You may recognize it from some that Sawyer has too!! I know...my parents are pretty awesome! :) One of my favorites!! :) What an amazing new family!!!!
Can we talk for a second about how freaking cute this house is?? You know I can't resist rounding this post out with some adorable baby feet! :)
Wishing this incredible new family all the best on their new adventure! Such a privilege to see old friends become parents! Can't wait until we are the sports moms on the sidelines instead of the sisters! :) And just think, now we will be able to have unlimited funds for the snack shack...:) Big League Chew and Ring Pops for DAYS!!! :) ;)
