This was just the beginning of some incredible spring and summer weather, and I was so thrilled to kick off the season with this awesome family.
The wonderful mama in these photos, Genevieve, and I went to high school together, and I was honored when she asked me to take some family photos for her! It was so great to reconnect and get to photograph and meet her husband, Cory, and her adorable son, Sam! Her son is the cutest, and it was such a joy to photograph their smiles together. (Pregnant Lady Side Note: Sam is also one of my favorite names, and especially with their Sam being so adorable, it just made me love the name even more! If only my husband agreed with all of my baby name choices...haha)
Genevieve and I are both huge fans of Natirar in Peapack, NJ, and so it was a no brainer to do our session there! She used to walk in the park almost every day while she was pregnant with Sam, so it is even more special to photograph him there!
Enjoy meeting the R Family! :)
Sam was totally styling in this sweet hat!
Fun with dad!! :) (9 times out of 10 when I take the "throw baby in the air" photo, mom is standing outside the frame holding her breath. I haven't had a dad drop one yet!! ;))
Best smiles! :)
Can't put into words how much I love these family shots! Look at Sam's face! So happy!
Hitchin' a ride!
Such a gorgeous over-the-shoulder look back...
I got mommy's nose! :)
Love an adorable diapered baby in the grass!! :) Too cute!
Baby swings! :)
One thing I love to do when photographing families, especially mommy's with their babies, is notice the special little things about their bond. I always try to get them an unexpected shot of one of these natural loving habits that they might not even realize they have. Throughout the session I noticed that Genna always played with Sam's toes (how could you not?) and wanted to make sure I was able to get her a shot to have to remember this loving touch and how little his toes were when he's all grown! :)
Such a fun morning with a beautiful family! You'll see them again soon! ;)
